Multi-channel SIGINT Disk Recorders for recording IF and baseband (video) data at up to 80 or 100 MHz bandwidth.
AE8400-100/50/25/12 and AE8400-80/40/20/10 are Avalon’s top-of-the-range disk recorders designed to record very wide bandwidth data from the latest range of SIGINT receivers.
AE8400-100/50/25/12 supports the following record/play modes:
- 1 ch. x 100 MHz
- 1 or 2 ch. x 50 MHz
- 1, 2 or 4 ch. x 25 MHz
- 1, 2 or 4 ch. x 12.5 MHz
- Choice of IF or baseband record/play Input/Output (user-selectable)
- Standard IFs: 160, 140 and 70 MHz
AE8400-80/40/20/10 supports the following user-selectable recording modes:
- 1 ch. x 80 MHz
- 1 or 2 ch. x 40 MHz
- 1, 2 or 4 ch. x 20 MHz
- Any combination of IF and/or baseband data inputs/outputs
- Standard IFs: (160, 140 and 70 MHz)
Features across the AE8400 range include built-in DSP-based IF down/up conversion, Avalon’s unique LOOP recording mode and on-the-fly SKIP data protection permitting events to be captured even when their time of arrival is not known.
As with Avalon’s smaller AE8250 series disk recorders, AE8400 is designed for operational use in a wide range of static, mobile and airborne platform environments. The hot-swappable disk ensures a rapid re-arm time once the media is full.
AE8400 is supported by a range of accessories including lab and airborne rack-mount kits, the dedicated low-cost AE2604 Disk Crate Reader and a comprehensive suite of remote control, networking and data management tool (ARU).
