The ANS-1000, is a low cost rugged airborne computer configurable as File Server, a NAS (Network-Attached Storage), or a Recorder. It is based on the qualified rugged AMC-1000 general purpose airborne PC used on military Fighters, helicopters and large UAVs.
The unit is designed as LRU that can be removed easily from its fixed base for maintenance. The ANS-1000 is made from a proven low power qualified ATOM based computer. Its network card supports 1000/100/10 Mbps connection. For the purpose of laboratory integration and maintenance, the unit supports Console functions, i.e. VGA, 4 x USB.
The ANS-1000 has two SSD Flash disks. The fixed disk includes a Windows 7 Embedded OS and application software. The second disk is a removable Flash module that includes a Flash SSD (SLC) with super caps that provide power failure protection. The Super Cap on the SSD has energy to saves the data in its buffer and close the recorded files. The ANS-1000 average sustained write rate is at least 25 MB/sec.
Storage Capacity: 256 GB SLC or 512GB MLC.
Power supply: The unit operates from 7 to 36VDC, with maximum current of 1.6A @ 28VDC. The power supply includes a protection circuit per MIL-STD-1795B and it is compatible with the requirements of MIL-STD 704A.
